Apologies from the author:

 Whoops! I goofed.
 I released a level called "bastiond.wad", calling it
 a "deathmatch only" wad. Hmm. It seems I got me wads
 mixed up! What was released (by mistake) was the
 SOLO/COOPERATIVE VERSION (slated for inclusion in a
 series of mine called LAST HOPE of the UAC) whose
 FILENAME GOT SCREWED UP. Alas, the whereabouts of the
 original Bastion deathmatch wad is unknown.... So,
 I have prepared this NEW version to ward off any more
 bad karma. And I promise (really, really I do) that
 there are deathmatch starts this time!

 Sorry about this li'l snag. At least bastiond.wad is
 playable as a solo or 2 player cooperative level. It's
 also a good look at what LAST HOPE is like (even if
 it is totally out of context as a stand alone wad).
 
 The new deathmatch version is called (really, believe
 me this time) FIENDISH.WAD !!! (Only the name has been
 changed to protect the innocent, namely ME! -RDC 1/97)
