James, will you still do a timed level type code and enemy units that can patrol a area in groups like in a desanated path?

It would also be nice if the Meteor screen could be minamized to fit a bar like the one I have for my internet service so you could play mulitplayer over the internet.

Timed missions are supported by v1.2. The number of mins is set in the Advanced Map Properties, see the change log for notes on how this behaves in MP games.

You should be able to Alt+Tab in and out of Meteor. Alternatively you can run Meteor in a window using the -window command line switch, again refer to the change log for notes on this.

Attaching units to waypoints (and waypoints in general) will not be implemented in Meteor. However I hope to use an advanced AI track system in my next game title.

Heres one very funny/odd suggestion:
Could it be possible to change the player character during the game?
If it would be possible think that you could transform to a car
then you could drive around the map and at some point you could transform back to normal player.
This could happen by pressing a switch for example.

i have 2 suggestions for meteor
1. weapons could have a firing sprite ie: minigun would spin when you fire it.
2. the player health face could change like in doom when health bar changes to yellow and red

Arrrgh, one topic per thread please!

1) Changing Characters
I knew that someone would bring this up, for good reason too. This is a bummer to code up for multiplayer but I agree that there is value. The problem is that Meteor is not getting much coding attention right now, its a biggish job. I need to put this one on the back burner for now.

2) Weapon Sprites
Nice idea here although it could be akward if the firing sprite is larger than the weapon sprite (the offsets would be er offset). One to bare in mind if Meteor ever gets some coding time.

3) Face Sprite
Yeah, I not want to get done by id for pinching their idea but I can say that it was yours, hehe. Would be nice and not to much work, see 2.
