My record on my new comp is:

1886 FPS @ 160x120 video resolution and with the lowest graphical detail.

lol. i've tried this on M1 with the same settings but i didn't get higher than 31 FPS. Seems there's a limit. btw it's good to see you again guys.

haha I couldn't get to 160*120 but I got 1300+ fps on 320*240 =P

Ahem, "textures on" (normal settings) would be more fair?

To get a frame rate calculation that we can all compare you should...

- Run in 640 by 480 (default)
- Start a new game and don't move!
- Turn on the FPS counter but turn OFF the F9 panel thing (that makes a difference)
- Don't tweak any settings (say turning off textures)

your right James but this topic was made for showing an ultimate FPS record that i got on the LOWEST graphical detail as i mentioned on the first post LOL

btw on 640x480 with full graphics i got 'only' 60-61 FPS but thats almost steady all the time. I never got below 40 FPS

so i think you dont really need a new computer at least for M2 =)
