Now i used a different recording system, this one has sounds, better graphics, and no lag at all! Shared to 2 vids. Just shows a bit of the game style! Lets see if this works...

EDIT: And it doesn't! Sigh, looks like i have to release it on youtube. Later!

Not really for me... I don't use IM much, and of the three IRC networks I'm on, OperaNet's no more peskier than before, freenode's always been pretty clean and EKT, well, they eat spammers alive for breakfast anyway. :)

There's no such thing as ZHexen; Hexen is a doom-engine game so it also works with ZDoom.

You forgot DarkRain, PetiX and Me_Mantis... That makes 10 (^^,)

Anyway, yes our community is very small, that is because very few people like retro games (or at least join a retro games community and contribute to it).
So yea hopefully R3D and M3 will attract more members, as it's gonna have 3D graphics and such. Which seems to make the major difference these days.

@Naval War

Hey calm down for a while.
For starters, try to edit your post so there is no more swearing.
Secondly, Arezey really doesn't ban you to bully you or something. It is simply because you do not behave correctly when you are the internet. You might want to read through this, the Nettiquette.

Once you did that, notice that there is also a version of the nettiquette regarding online gaming.
This clearly includes that the hosting server or the organisers of the game can make up their own rules, the so called "house rules", just like some people do in family games.
These house rules modify the official rules a bit (In our case: No "modern" zdoom features that original doom didn't have like constant use of mouse aim, jumping, crawling etc...)
If you break these rules, the hoster has full right of kicking you out of his game. If you don't agree with these rules, then you simply don't join.
The reason we use our "Retro rules" is simply because Doom was originally not designed for those extra features!

Now specifically regarding the mouse, jumping and crawling discussion...
- Using the mouse is NOT fair if the the others don't. This is because it allows you to react much faster to attacks, and moving and shooting at the same time like the constant strafing from left to right while shooting is a HELL for people who use keyboard only.
Also, it makes some weapons overpowered and some weapons underpowered, which is never fun (think of the minigun in Meteor when you use mouselook...).
- Jumping and crawling allow you to dodge attacks very easily too and plus, worst of all, it allows you reach areas you're not supposed to reach, which gives you access to locations where you are safe from players who don't jump and crawl, and of course also the secret room items that you did not deserve (Because if you use jumping for example, you could just jump over a pit and grab the loot, while you SHOULD press a hard-to-find button somewhere so it raises a platform.)

So just keep in mind that you are playing with real people. In SP you can do whatever you wish as you are your own boss and you don't have to keep count with the enemies as they are computer controlled. While if you play MP then you play with real people with real feelings. And believe me, it is not fun if you constantly get owned by an overpowered player who does not agree with the restrictions and handicaps.

Thank you for reading this post Naval War. I hope you've learned something of it ;)

Ahh, that one.
Well, guess what: I found it yesterday WITHOUT jumping, it's only a bit hard to find. (Ask Arezey, I bet he was surprised when he all of the sudden saw me there (^^,))

You got to push a switch so a room opens next to it, and in that room there is a computer terminal/panel thing that is ACTUALLY a door! Enter this door, go down the stairs and voila, there you go!

I can even prove it if you want.

EDIT: And yes, if you are talking about not being able to enter the panel door when you open it as the floor lowers a bit: Well I can't remember exactly how but after a while the floor seemed to have raised agian, and it was still open.

EDIT 2: Oh wait, that's in level 3, heh :p
I assume you were talking about something else, though I'm pretty sure it is perfectly possible to reach without jumping, only it requires some searching. Holdon, I'll look for a walkthrough.

Okay, found it:
# The small structure you face when you begin, has a secret door in the SE
corner (the lighter wall part) <0x15005a8,0x121e8ad>. Behind the door is a
room with a red switch. Pushing that switch will open a secret door in the
northern corner of the stairs in the east <0x60ada92,0x3affa0b>. You can get
outside and collect a supercharger and a chaingun.

See, what did I tell ya ^^,

Heh, sorry we didn't respond whenever you were logged in a "Secretaryis" on the IRC; We were playing Doom. ;P

By the way, If you are banned on irc then it's practically always with your IP. Which means you could as well have logged in Naval_War, which means Arezey DID take off the ban.
