Meteor 1 v1.3 is now available for download at:
http://www.jbgames.com/games/meteor/download.asp

Version 1.3 adds an entirely new networking core using UDP for much faster network play, this is the same networking code that will be used for Meteor 2. Other features include light sourcing, mouse over info, quick saving and particle effects.

Bugs involving Multiplayer:

If you go into the options menu, it esentually "pauses" the multiplayer game.

(Never tested yet) What if I were to play a mod online, that one who wanted to join my server didnt have? For example, lets take Papercut (me), and Bob (Some Meteor player who plays solely to meteor and no other mod could replace the excitement that he gets from playing the original game...)

Papercut starts a server, under Meteor - WW3.

Bob attempts to join my game while playing Meteor 1.

Bob gets in.

Will his weapons be modded to be exactly like the ones in my mod, and new weapons will have missing sprites and such?

This also goes to maps, If I were to run my Normandy Beach Invasion map, would Bob be able to join the game? Will it crash? Will he get an error message? Would he have to download it via attached to this site or something, or emailed, or simply downloading my mod, in which we can't rely on Bob to do?

Well, I made my mind. Let's keep that download and when I have converted that mod to support v 1.3, I will send it as a patch.

*******Changelog**********

Changes from v 1.0 to 1.10

* Took some stupid tilesets away, these were annoing map making
* Rebuilt the map Base Missle, made me a disappointment
* Made sprites support v 1.3
* Made 2 new HH Maps, a converted map of Power Complex and a city level
* Made projectiles and weapons support v 1.3
* Added some HH Powerups
